The Morion

The Morion was a shiny, open-faced helmet used in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was super popular with foot soldiers and guards, especially in Spain and other parts of Europe.

This helmet is easy to spot because of its tall crest and wide, curved brim. The shape helped protect the head from sword strikes and even things falling from above—great for battles and city patrols!

Morions were often decorated with feathers or engravings, especially for royal guards. You might have seen them worn by palace guards in old paintings or movies.

Today, the Morion is remembered as a symbol of explorers, soldiers, and guards from the Age of Discovery. It looked stylish and offered solid protection too!
